WELCOME TO FORD FUEL'S OIL TANK REPLACEMENT DIVISION.

The Ford Fuel Engineering Division stocks a wide range of leading brand tanks including: DESO, QSS and TELFORD tanks.

We supply oil and water storage tanks in all sizes for both domestic and commercial use.

OIL TANK INSTALLATIONS

At Ford fuels all of our installation teams are fully qualified to carry out the replacement or re-location of your oil tanks. Our specialist tank teams who are based in North Dorset cover most of the South West (Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire, and Dorset) and can replace your tank at any time; there is no need to wait until the oil has run down. With no need to involve additional contractors, we would be happy to carry out your tank installation from start to finish.

A STANDARD OIL TANK PROCEDURE WOULD BE:

  • To pump out the oil from your existing oil tank into a holding tank.
  • Remove the old tank
  • Prepare a solid flat base for the tank to sit upon
  • Install the oil tank c/w all the connections to your pipe work
  • Transfer the oil back into your new tank (Filtered)
  • Bleed the oil line back to the appliance & check for leaks.

Occasionally oil tanks can be very difficult to remove due to their location, and additional buildings and extensions have been built after the oil tank had been installed. At Ford Fuel Oils we have qualified engineers to dismantle your tank on site for safe and easier removal.

You may wish to re-locate your oil tank to a different site on your property, we can undertake the work by either laying a concrete base or laying a paving slab base. When necessary, to gravity feed your appliance (Aga) we will build block piers to give the correct height.

All associated pipe work from the appliance to the oil tank, whether it be in steel, plastic or copper can be dug underground or clipped to a near by wall then pressure tested to ensure no leaks.
